We stand for...
The support of multidisciplinary research that aims to advance the knowledge of individual, contextual, social and structural factors that contribute to health disparities among immigrant, ethnic and racial minorities.
About
We are a multidisciplinary group of researchers and graduate students who are interested in furthering the understanding of the role of migration, ethnicity, and combatting racism as determinants of health and on developing and evaluating programs and policies to promote health.
We especially focus on urban settings. Our group represents a variety of departments and schools within and outside Drexel University, including community partners. Our approaches include quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods research; community-based participatory research; social network analyses; geographic information systems (GIS); systems thinking; and agent-based modeling. |
Colloquia |
Research Focus |
We offer an intellectual and physical space where scholars interested in the study of immigrant, ethnic, and racial minority health can exchange ideas and learn about methodologies, theories, and results from recent and ongoing research on this vast field of investigation.
We hold regular colloquia to present ongoing research and projects related to migration, ethnicity, combatting racism and health. Check our calendar for events, signing up to present and more! |

As a global community, we face a choice. Do we want migration to be a source of prosperity and international solidarity, or a byword for inhumanity and social friction?
